Martin is Director of the National Center for Mediation Education, a non-profit training and referral organization and the National Institute for Conflict Resolution, a training, service and consulting organization. Mr. Kranitz is author of two books on mediation and writes a column for two national newsletters in mediation. He has been a nationally know presenter, trainer and expert in mediation since 1981 and has been seen on CNN, Sonya Live in L.A. and heard on numerous radio talk shows. As a trainer, he has presented programs to professionals in most major cities across the country and has worked with colleges, universities, business, industry and government agencies such as IRS, BEP, and ATF.

Martin was instrumental in helping establish court ordered mediation in Maryland and has worked for the courts in Maryland as a mediator and as a program leader, teaching communication and problem solving skills. He has presented several programs for the Maryland Bar and local bar associations, the Prince Georges Circuit Court and the YWCA Women’s Center as well as numerous professional organizations such as the Maryland Mediators Group, the Academy of Family Mediators (AFM) and the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR). He has mediated domestic disputes, business disputes, employment and Department of Justice-ADA disputes as well as court-referred custody cases. Additionally, Martin serves as a supervisor/consultant to trained mediators looking to hone their skills.

Martin is a professional member of the Academy of Family Mediators and the American Bar Association. He is past president of the Maryland Committee on Dispute Resolution and a consultant to several community dispute resolution organizations in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He has recently been appointed by the Chief Judge of the Maryland Courts to the Maryland Commission on Dispute Resolution.
